- Welcome to the class! Please note that information on the site is not final until the course starts.
Deadlines
The deadlines are strict and late submissions may result in not accepted lab or lower grade.
However, it is possible to make up for late submissions by doing the make-up assignment.
The recommended deadline for Labs 1-3 is 2022-09-23.
The strict deadline for Labs 1-3 is 2022-09-30.
The recommended deadline for Labs 4-6 is 2022-10-14.
The strict deadline for Labs 4-6 is 2022-10-21.
Course Information
- The course consists of 6 labs. Each lab consists of several tutorials and an assignment.
- After doing every lab, students are expected to write and send a report (to lucie.smetanova@liu.se ), using this template.
- All labs are graded Pass or Fail.
- Students are allowed and encouraged to work in groups and help each other. Nevertheless, each work should be individual, group submissions are not permitted.
- Students are encouraged to search information online and try different tools and options in order to succeed with the assignments.
- Students are encouraged to experiment with QGIS, alter the assignments (to something more challenging) and take necessary adjustments in order to make maps more visually appealing or informative.
- Any additional work (such as, e.g., additional analysis, use of additional sources of geographical information, etc.) is highly encouraged and will result in a better grade for this part of the course.
- The work should be done in QGIS. The tutorials were tested in QGIS version 3.4.
